Welcome to The Cabin
Come on in and take a look around our little Cabin on the lake.
Originally part of a fishing camp many years ago, The Cabin has been re-built to include modern comforts while maintaining the rustic charm. The only original parts of the Cabin are the wood floors and the stone fireplace. The rest has been updated create a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for affordable escapes year round.
The Cabin is positioned on a point of land facing south. the 12 x 20 ft deck with a 4 person hot tub overlooks the point and is wrapped in lake views and granite outcroppings. The property is located on Portage Lake which is connected to Mill Lake and Mountain Basin, just north of Parry Sound in Nobel.
The Cabin has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other has a double bunk bed. We supply bedding and linens.
There is a futon in the Living room as well as a recliner couch. The TV is set up with basic cable and a Chrome cast for convenient viewing of your Netflix, you tube, Disney plus etc. There is a wireless stereo/Bluetooth speaker that can be used to enjoy your favorite music. The cabin is equipped with high speed wireless internet, a selection of board games and chess set.
The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, microwave, espresso machine, coffee maker, electric kettle, slow cooker, toaster, all dishes and utensils. Salt, pepper, coffee filters, dish soap, There is a BBQ on the deck and propane is supplied. The dining area has a table for 6 and there are 3 bar stools for sitting at the kitchen counter.
There is a full 4 piece bathroom, towels, bathroom tissue and hand soap are provided.
The waterfront has a private 12x20 ft dock, 2 canoes, 2 adult kayaks and 2 youth kayaks as well as an older paddle boat. There is a screened gazebo with outdoor furniture.
The cabin has 4 adult life jackets. If guests require other sizes for adults, youth or children, they should bring them along.
Fire wood is available for purchase on site.
Many activities are available for guests year round. From fishing to cross country skiing, snorkeling to outdoor skating rinks. Regardless of the interests, there are many things to do for all ages at the Cabin and surrounding area.
